Windows 10: Windows 10 - 0xc000007b error for Asus FX505DT

Hi everyone,

I have Asus Tuf gaming Fx505 DT laptop loaded with Window 10. Recently i have installed Skyrim SE in my system. When i tried to open game it shows the message " The application was unable to start correctly 0xc000007b. Click OK to close the application". So i have gone through internet and tried various methods but no one of them are successful. For Eg:

i Uninstallation and reinstallation of a Micosoft visual C++ 2015 both 64 bit and 32 bit

b Microsoft .Net framework

c Direct X


ii I have done clean boot in safe mode


iii i have checked for DLL and installed as per suggestions given in various communities.


iv Opening application as adminstrator


v Reinstalling Skyrim SE


vi Using Cmd syc /chkdsk


vii Disk defragmentation


viii Disabling antivirus for the specific folder


All these methods didn't worked for me. Is there other way let me know guys.


My system configuration are :


Asus Fx505DT , 8GB ram, AMD Ryzen 5 3550H with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 8 CPUs, ~2.1GHz, , NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

0xc000007b Error


I upgraded to Windows 10 today with no major issues. However, I have been receiving the 0xc000007b error for ColorUService and APSDaemon.exe at start up. I receive the same error when launching Origin from EA Games and any related game.

I talked to the techs at EA Games and they suggested using CCleaner prior to uninstalling Origin with Rivo Uninstaller. At this point I downloaded a fresh copy of Origin. The installation failed because the 0xc000007b error popped up.

I looked in several webpages concerning the error. The suggested fixes were for Windows 7/8/8.1. The ones I tried did not work.

My email program did not work correctly. I fixed this by downloading Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4

I have a Asus laptop, N750JK, with Windows 10 installed, Invidia GForce 850M, 16 GB Ram.

Is there a fix for the 0xc000007b error for Windows 10?

Same problem here, tried all the solutions i found on the web about the issue on previous OS but nothing... that error persist on every game or app that uses .net framework or directX...

I updated from 8.1 to 10
Running on an Asus A55VD

I updated nvidia drivers to the latest for w10, too.
I tried to start the issued applications with HD4000 or Nvidia, it didn't worked both ways.

Looks like Berton got there first..... and or thinking was very much along the same lines.

Did you enter BIOS and see what it is seeing?

Think I would load defaults in BIOS to allow it to sense what is installed.

Still fails I would return. Modules can be bad.

Asus usually has a Qualified Vendor list.

One site that I've never had issues with Crucial.com
