    The Build 10074 ESD download links in ESD to ISO tutorial are for the official Microsoft server, files are official Microsoft ESD ones.

    It could hardly be more official.

    @f14tomcat how did you simulate the update process, I thought the only way you could use the ESD file is by converting it to an ISO.

    Not hard at all. You don't even have to burn a DVD. Assuming your ISO is created on an external drive, go to the ISO, right click and mount it. If the option to mount is not there, open with Explorer and it will mount. Right click setup.exe and Run as Administrator. It will begin the setup process, which looks just like you had gotten it from Windows Update. Go from there and enjoy!

    If you don't have the ISO on external drive, burn the DVD. Then OPEN it, not install. Right click the setup.exe as above and proceed. Once the process has gotten thru the setup copy of files and is churning away, you can eject the DVD. CAUTION! The process will, as usual, re-boot several times. DO NOT "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Let it timeout and boot back to install. Get the DVD out of drive!

    I checked my downloaded x64 EN-US downloaded ESD file, I get the official checksums:
    • CRC32: 28AA6C57

    I did not care for this build. To change anything you have to use the control panel so I went back to 10061, this build worked but I saw no improvement over 10061.

    Hi there

    The GB version is the PRO not the Enterprise version (even from the enterprise link) so you will have to CLEAN install and then convert to Enterprise via add windows features in control panel.

    If you also try and use the US (Enterprise) version on top of the GB version --same problem --you will have to do a CLEAN install -- so if you have the 10061 GB enterprise version installed your upgrade path currently is NIL --you have to re-install from scratch. So I'd wait for the proper upgrade if you need to update rather than clean install if you are currently running the GB version of Enterprise build 10061 (64 bit).
