Windows 10: Windows 10 1803 Not Creating Restore Point before Windows Update(s)

Hi. I've noticed that my Windows 10 PC doesn't always create a restore point before Windows Updates. It will create Scheduled Checkpoints weekly and manually as well as after uninstalling or installing some programs.. So, other than this one issue, System Restore is working fine. Any ideas will be appreciated.

No restore points are created when updates are installed

Hi,

To address your concern let's run System restore on your computer.

To check if there is restore point already created:

• 
  Press Windows key +
  X, select System.
  
• 
  In the left pane, click on
  System Protection.
  
• 
  Select the option to
  system restore > next. It will show all restore points already created.
  

Note:

• On installation of an update, if there is restore point already created in last 72hrs, it will not create a new restore point.
• On installation of an application, if there is restore point already created in last 24hrs, it will not create a new restore point.

Use System restore to make restore points when you install a new app, driver, or Windows update, and when you create a restore point manually. Restoring won’t affect your personal files, but it will remove apps, drivers, and updates installed after the restore
point was made. To go back to a restore point:

• Right-click (or press and hold) the Start button, and then select
  Control Panel.
• Search Control Panel for Recovery.
  
  
  
• Select Recovery > Open System Restore >
  Next.
• Choose the restore point related to the problematic app, driver, or update, and then select
  Next > Finish.

Cannot Create Restore Point After Version 1803 Update

I just updated Windows 10 with version 1803 and now I cannot create a restore point.

On the configuration page, it is marked "Disable System Protection" and it will not allow me to turn on system protection...

I have already cleaned up all the older versions of Windows too, so am I screwed???
