Windows 10: Windows 10 1809 doesn't show up in Windows Update on version 1803

Hey,


I have Windows 10 Pro version 1803 installed on my hp 15-ac118ne. I've been waiting for version 1809 for months and it's still not showing up. I checked for updates multiple times and tried troubleshooting and resetting windows update but nothing works.

Around 3 months ago, my laptop tried to download version 1809 automatically but it failed with an error code (0x8024000b). I'm trying to install it manually from the tool but it wants me to install version 1903. I want to stay on the safe side and just stick with 1809 so I'm not using the tool.


I don't know if it's a compatibility problem, but it would be a great idea to integrate an update compatibility checker with windows update or something like the windows 7 upgrade advisor.


Can someone help me find a solution to install 1809 without losing any data?

Windows 10 1803 doesn't play nice with some Intel SSDs

Legit Reviews is reporting that Windows 10 1803 has issues with some Intel SSDs, specifically their 600p series: "When attempting to upgrade to Window 10 April 2018 Update select devices with certain Intel SSDs may enter a UEFI screen reboot or crash repeatedly." Microsoft and/or Intel are working on a fix.
