Windows 10: WINDOWS 10 1809 UPDATE: ACTION CENTER DOES NOT SHOW ANYTHING.

Device: Dell Inspiron 15 5570

Date of Windows Update: October 3, 2018


Details:

Nothing shows up on my Action Center. The speech bubble icon shows that I have 1 notification but no notification sound and the notification doesn't appear in the list when I open the Action center. It's empty and it's been 2 days since my 1809 update and I didn't receive nor read a single notification from here. I don't have this problem on the previous build (1803).


Procedures Done:

> Checked the Notifications & actions settings. Ticked everything.

> Checked the Notifications settings under App Permissions on Privacy. Ticked everything.


Result: Problem persists.

Disable Action Center in Windows 7?

Unfortunately that doesn't disable Action Center, all it does it cause Acution Center to bitch about the Security Center service not running.

Action Center seems to be a different beast from Security Center...

And telling it to not display any messages gets it out of the way, the same way disabling the icon in the suggestions above does, but Action Center is still enabled and running.

 

Calendar Event(s) Not Showing Up in Action Center

Let's also take a look at the settings for the Mail app. Follow these steps:

• Open the Mail app.
• At the bottom of the left pane, click on the gear icon (Switch to settings).
• Select Options.
• Under Notifications, switch on the ticker for Show in action center.

Update us about the outcome.
