Windows 10: Windows 10 1809 updates (KB4476976 and KB4480116) difference

Im trying to understand the difference between these updates. They are both cumulative, but is KB4480116 security updates only, and KB4476976 other non-security fixes?

If not, does KB4476976 include the same security fixes in KB4480116 + additional fixes?

W10 1809 KB4476976 and KB4481031 fail 0x800f0922

as per my original response YESTERDAY

KB4481031 downloaded from Microsoft Catalog and installed manually and that was successful.

KB4476976 and KB4480116 fail consistently on my Desktop but worked on my W10 Pro Build which is the same h/w, and they also installed on my Laptop.

The link to the KB4476975 which you've kindly provided is the same one I've tried manually and IT FAILS as does KB4480116

the BOTH KB4476976 and KB4480116 FAIL whether they are manually performed by me or Windows Update


I'm still trying to establish if anyone know why these are failing? ?

Strange!

I had installed KB4480116 and KB4480056 (released on january 8th) without problem on january 16th.

This is with KB4476976 and KB4481031 (released on january 23rd), that I get errors 0x800f0922 (except

for first time of KB4476976 where I got error 0x8070643...)

An other user has created a post in the french Microsoft forum where he complains he gets 0x800f0986

or 0x80073712 for KB4476976. He does not mention KB4481031 nor KB4480116...

For me KB4481031 installed correctly when I downloaded it from the catalog and completed the update manually.

The issues now are KB4476976 and KB4480116 fail with 0x800f0922

Neither will install manually.

I tend to agree. It's probably just another screw up. Nothing seems properly tested these days.
