Windows 10: Windows 10 1903 April 2020 update BSOD

I installed the April, 2020 Windows updates for W10 1903 after the installation I am getting BSOD and when I can boot the computer. When I can get into Office 2016 click to run programs, Adobe Acrobat, the Control panel, Acronis True Image, the update uninstall screen, no longer works. All restore points were deleted.

I know it was the updates that caused this problem. Before I install any Windows updates, I always run a full scan with Windows Defender, Malwarebytes Premium, and at the admin prompt dism/online/cleanup-image /scanhealth and sfc/scannow. All scans were clean. I run the HP app to check for drivers that need to be updated. There were none. I also use Acronis True Image to do a full image back up my entire hard drive, This image was validated by Acronis software and I tested it by booting to the image and recovering files. Everything worked. I created a restore point and there were 5 other restore points in addition to the one I created. After installing the updates I ran again the dism and sfc scans and the sfc scan was corrupt and it said it had repaired itself. But the blue screens kept coming. All of the system restore points were deleted and something is blocking my Acronis image from being installed. I never had any problem with my computer until the corrupt updates were installed. It is a little over a year old. I ran the BIOS diagnostics on the hardware. All passed. So Microsoft what do I do to cleanup the mess and get my computer back up and running??

Cumulative updates - April 14 2020

Since April’s patch Tuesday my computer just keep going around in circles trying to install an update. Normally it would install just by rebooting the computer, but I also tried doing this manually. Everytime when the computer starts up and tries to install
it, I finally get a message to say it "We couldn't complete the updates - Undoing changes - Don't turn off your computer" I must have gone through this cycle a dozen times now. I’ve google searched but not really found an answer. Fortunately the computer then
still works. I was also advised:

C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Downloads

Highlight everything in the list then hit Delete.

The offending update will be gone and Windows will have to download fresh copies of any updates you are due.

But again it failed to install.

What can I do to get this to install or fix this?

Until this is resolved I am loath to install the Feature Update to Windows 10 - Version 1909
