Windows 10: windows 10 1903 update is struck at 59%

started update yesterday evening from 'settings>>Update & Security' (its been now more than 24 hrs) after a whole night of downloading/processing it showed a error in the morning and update aborted.


so i downloaded the 'Windows 10 Update Assistant' and started the update process again, after 8 hrs of download/processing it again showed some error and aborted.


again i started the update through Update Assistant, this time it seems the process has moved a bit further, now its been more than 4 hrs its just showing 59%.....





i have a 40mbps internet connection, i got windows pre installed with my laptop dell inspiron 15 3000 series (i5 processor/8gb ram)

this is really frustrating, if not for DOTA2 i would have simply formatted and installed LinuxMint :-@

Known issues for Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903


As far as Wifi any chance it is Qualcom inside USB adapter, if Qualcom then yes known issue.


I might create another user (Local) and when if try again see if this issue occurs on both users.

Would also suggest you run the first 5 steps in this tutorial to see if you have any corruption with current build.

An update is stuck on 59%, it hasn't budged for a few hours and other updates haven't started downloading either.

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted/ missing Windows Update components. Try the below and check if it helps.



Step 1: I suggest you to uninstall the anti-virus software installed on your device and check for the updates.

If the issue still persists,

Step 2: I suggest you to
run the Windows Update troubleshooter and check.

Windows Update Troubleshooter resolves problems that prevents you from updating windows.

Steps:

• Press Windows key and type
  Troubleshooting.
• Click on Troubleshooting and click on
  View all in the left pane.
• Select Windows Update to run theWindows Update Troubleshooter
  and follow the on-screen instructions.
