Windows 10: Windows 10 1903 update

I've had the Windows 10 1903 update first become available, then say my device wasn't ready, then available again, and now again with the "your device isn't quite ready". Why does it keep going back and forth? I held off at first because I was working on a project and didn't want to lose the tabs I had open. When I was then ready to update, the message had changed to saying my device wasn't ready. A few weeks later, I noticed that the message once more said 1903 was ready to download and install. But once again, I was in the middle of working on something and wanted to finish the project first. By the time I went back to install, the message had once more reverted to the "your device isn't quite ready". Why is this going back and forth? I keep my computer updated via Dell update and Dell Support and Windows update. My computer is only 2.5 years old. It came with Windows 10 and is currently version 1809. I don't get it - why is this update 1903 going back and forth like a yo-yo?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Local profile issue after upgrading to 1903

Known issues for Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903


As far as Wifi any chance it is Qualcom inside USB adapter, if Qualcom then yes known issue.


I might create another user (Local) and when if try again see if this issue occurs on both users.

Would also suggest you run the first 5 steps in this tutorial to see if you have any corruption with current build.
