Windows 10: Windows 10 1909 KB4601315 Not Offered in Windows Update

KB4601315 released today is not being offered under Windows Update for me yes still on 1909 due to Conexant driver update hold - even when manually checking for updates.


All other monthly updates were all downloaded and installed appropriately. Is there some hold on this update or should I go to Microsoft Update Catalog to install and update? Maybe I will wait a couple days to see what happens, but wondered if anyone else was running into this issue. Never know what to expect when trying to updated Windows 10 computer these days.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 Update

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

WU Not Offering 1909

I understand from posts like this one that you may have taken steps to control windows updates. If so, that may explain it. All my (unmodified) machines were offered 1909....
