Discus and support windows 10 1909 on desktop is causing ncsi fail. in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I just bought win 10 and did a clean install on my main desktop.     windows 10 1909 on desktop is causing ncsi fail.


    I just bought win 10 and did a clean install on my main desktop. It is causing a DNS problem on the router tp - link vr400 and then my other devices can no longer access the internet. If I reboot the router, and do not not connect the desktop, everything is fine.

    I've tried all the cmd prompts, and the network reset, as well as the manual dns option. Nothing has worked. Can I have a version of windows that is 1903, that works?

    Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

    Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

    What is causing Prime 95 to keep failing all the time in the first 10 minutes?

    ...and what will be your next step if THAT fails to make Prime stable? More volts?

    I would think you would want to be using the LEAST amount of volts possible (for heat and longevity issues). That's why I suggested you use a more scientific approach to troubleshooting your instabilty. Meaning, IF your RAM passes 10 loops of MemTest with no errors at the speed you are trying to run, AND Prime continues to fail, THEN consider giving a bump to NB, FSB and Vcore (in that order).

    When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

    Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

    I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
