ive been modifying my windows power plans since many years to optimize the performance and battery drain of my notebooks, so my question is, will the changes with 1909 due today only alter the default values of already available, mostly hidden power plan options, or will there be user-inaccessible hard-coded changes to how the os communicates with the cpu?

if there are only changes to power plan options, one can easily do the same thing prior to upgrading to 1909 already, resp. revert the changes back to pre-1909 after the upgrade.

i am talking about all those entries here:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings

    Power plan?

Upon checking, it seems that there's nothing wrong with your system. It is usual that you have to double-click your mouse before your monitor wakes up.

For the meantime, we suggest changing the power plan by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + S.
    • Type in Power Settings.
    • On the pop-up window, choose Additional power settings.
    • Select High performance.

After changing the power plan, we suggest that you monitor the changes made and check if that will work for you.

Get back to us if you need further help.
