Windows 10: Windows 10 1909 to 20H2 Upgrade Failing - 0xC1900101 - 0x20017 - The installation failed in...

I have been trying to upgrade to 20H2 for some time but it constantly fails and haven't been able to decipher the logs.I've done all the standard checks sfc, driver updates, bios updates without success.I am wondering if part of the issues is windows is on a different drive than the EFI and recovery partition but this is just a wild guess.Here is the logs from C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setuperr.log.2021-05-03 16:33:09, Error CSI 00000001 F STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND #12# from Windows::Rtl::SystemImplementation:

Did you try the list of quick fixes which include removal of third party AV.

Can't upgrade from Win 10 Pro 1909 0xC1900101-0x20017

For months Windows Update has offered to install 2004 and then 20H2 but the install always fails after the first reboot and rolls back to 1909. I've tried reinstalling 1909 on top of itself from an ISO first and then upgrading, running the update from a 20H2 ISO file and even doing a clean boot before trying the upgrade from an ISO. All fail with the same error code:





Can anyone offer advice on how to resolve this?
