Windows 10: Windows 10 1909 to 21H1 update fails

Hi, I am trying to upgrade Windows 10 Professional from 1909 to 21H1. Unfortunately, it repeatedly fails. The error code is 0xC1900101 0x30018. I upgraded the system from Windows 7 to Windows 10 last December. This worked fine; since then, no hardware has been changed. I have checked my drivers for updates and am running the system with only a few programs. It is a single gaming machine.Do you have an idea what could be causing the problem?

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
