Windows 10: Windows 10 2004 not allowing login after activated

On the initial login screen there is the normal date and time till i hit a button or drag the mouse up, then I'm at the display with my name the words sign in and the network, accessibility and power options. I can click the words sign in, but it just takes me back to the start where it shows the time. The other options work as normal, just trying to sign in is broken.


This started after I did a clean install of windows 10 2004 since it's now the only version available after installing a new nonOS HDDwhere I store games and media, windows is in an nvme ssd. Started with a local account since my nic is not supported on install. Installed my software and successfully rebooted several times with no issues. However once i activated windows with my user account, I can no longer log in. I'm not even given the option to enter my password even in safe mode.


I have now reinstalled windows 3 times, i have no issue to i activate it. I had the same hardware, settings and software on windows 10 1909, I only reinstalled because I wanted to avoid the issues that sometimes occure when you change the drive your software is installed to.


For now I'm just gonna reinstall again and use it without linking my Microsoft account/activating since that's the only way is useable but it's not a real solution.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Can't login to new computer w/Windows 10

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
