Windows 10: Windows 10 2004 update fails error 0xc1900101

Lenovo Ideacentre 310s-08asr amd a9-9245 radeon r5 compute cores 2c+3G

8Gb Memory

882Gb free on hard drive

Razer Chroma keyboard

Windows Defender used no 3rd party

Have used Lenovo Vantage and system is up to date

Have tried using Lenovo support site using the automatic driver update and that reports - no drivers required

Every attempt to install end with error 0xc1900101

Tried the following:

net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits

Then restarted computerThen using Windows Media Creation Tool

That fails too with error 0xc1900101 - 0x20017

The did the same procedure and disabled all non Microsoft procedures using msconfig

Have even tried disabling all non Microsoft procedures and a clean boot and that fails with error 0xc1900101

Error 0xc1900101 0x40017 when updating to 2004

Hi, I am trying to update my windows 10 pro from 1909 to 2004. I tried already 3 times, the first twos with windows update and the latest with the iso. However they end with the same result with the error 0xc1900101 - 0x40017 "the installation failed in
the second_boot phase with an error during boot operation".

I found this page https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/upgrade/resolution-procedures but I don't have Citrix VDA
installed (I don't know even what is its purpose) so I can't follow the solution steps.

Has anyone got any suggestion? Aside for a clean install. Thank you
