Windows 10: Windows 10 2004 Update Keeps Ending Up on Black Screen

Hello,


This is the second time I have tried running the new Windows 10 update 2004.

Every time, I leave the PC on overnight and the next day, there is a black screen.


So, I ctrl alt del as one article suggested and nothing happens.

I try windows key ctrl shft b and nothing happens.


So inevitably, I have to hold down the power button.


When. I turn the PC back on, it is just stuck at a black screen with white text "Undoing Changes Made To Your Computer"


Then I am able to log into the PC and the PC works fine but the Windows update still didn't go through.




Why is this Windows 10 update not properly installing?

by following the below steps.

To update Windows 10 to feature pack update 2004 manually

Step: 1

Open the link below

Step 2:

Click Update which will download the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant

Step 3:

Run the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant & then click Update now.

• Were you able to get to the desktop screen after you restarted the system?
  
• When the screen was blank, were you able to see the cursor on the screen?
  
• Did you get any error code or error message?
