Windows 10: Windows 10 2004 Update: Screen goes black when receiving notifications while gamiing

Whenever I am gaming and my game is set to fullscreen whenever I receive a notification or change my volume my screen has gone black for a few seconds which has gotten me killed a few times. Is there a fix for this yet?
