    Windows 10 21h1 download error 0x800f0831


    During 21h1 download on Windows 10 I got the error 0x800f0831. Well I followed this advice https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/mem/configmgr/error-0x800f0831-installing-update to resolve the problem. I entered the CBS.log file and found <Missing_Package> as well as <Failed_Package>, however after entering those IDs in Microsoft Update Catalog search box nothing being searched. It just can not find these packages. <Missing_Package> in my case is Microsoft-Windows-Client-LanguagePack-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~en-US~10.0.19041.1202 and <Failed_Package>

    Thanks Steve. I tried but got Error: 0x800f0831.

    I'm trying to avoid doing an in-place upgrade, is there anything else we could try?

    My Surface Pro 7 will not update (Error Code 0x800f0831). I'm running Windows 10 Home, Version 21H1, OS Build 19043.985, Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1065G7 CPU@ 1.30GHz 1.50GHz, Ram 16GB.

    I'm trying to install the 2021-08 Cumulative update for Windows 10 version 21H1 for x64-based systems (9KB5005033). It will download, but will not install. All other updates install with no issues.

    Windows 10 Installation Error 0x800f0831

    I created a Windows 10 ISO and attempted to do a clean install. I got an error message, installation not completed, returned to earlier settings. In the System app, under Upgrades, under update history, got the Error message, 0x800f0831. Any ideas?
