WIndows 10 64 Bit System Performance Very Slow

    Hi

I am using Windows 10 64 Bit product in my Laptop. The performance of my PC is very slow. I find it very difficult to multi task using the PC. The device specifications are as below:

    1. Windows Version: Windows 10 Pro.

    2. System Type: 64-Bit Operating System, x64-based processor.

    3. RAM: 4 GB (3.90 GB Usable)

    4. Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30 GHz 2.40 GHz

    5. HDD: 1 TB (Non SSD)

Would anyone please suggest what can be done to make it very faster.

Would 32 Bit Operating system make it faster?

    Best Regards

    Thanks in Advance

    :)

  3. Performance - 32 Bit Vs 64 Bit

    Greetings:

    • I am running Windows 10 / 32 bit
    • My computer is a 64 bit CPU with 5Gb Memory
    • I use mostly MS Office Applications and a bit of photo and video editing.
    Question:

    1) Will my system operate much faster if I upgrade to Windows 10 / 64 Bit?

I can upgrade at no cost since I have the Original CD of Windows 7 /64

    2) Would yo do it if you were in my place?

    Thanks

    64 BIT

    • Switching to Windows 10 64 bit is free, you don't have to pay for it. As long as you have a qualifying Windows 7 or 8 or Windows 10 license, you are entitled to use it.
    • Switching requires that you perform a new installation, that means files, applications and settings will be deleted.
    • You will have to reinstall applications and native 64 bit drivers.

Step 1: Download Windows 10 64 bit then create a bootable copy:

Step 2: Boot from the 64 bit Windows 10 install media, then perform a custom or clean install:
