Windows 10 64-bit update October 9, 2018—KB4462919 (OS Build 17134.345) resets Office color...

I just installed this Windows 10 64-bit update:

    October 9, 2018—KB4462919 (OS Build 17134.345)
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4462919/windows-10-update-kb4462919

As a side-effect of installing this Windows Update and restarting, I noticed that my Color theme in Excel and Word 365 (version 1809 build 10827.20138 Clicl-to-run) had been reset from White to Colorful. I have not found other changed settings.

This is obviously not a serious problem, but a Windows Update should not touch my options in any way. This does not inspire confidence.

    :)

    Download Windows 10 TH/RS

    @Drone : No link for 17134.5?

The April 2018 Update will be available as a free download beginning Monday, April 30.

According to this link and whether or not these have been Insider Preview Builds as @FordGT90Concept contends, I found this link: https://www.askvg.com/windows-10-redstone4-rs4-changelog/

Windows 10 Build 10.0.17134 Changelog:Build 17134 was the 23rd Insider Preview build of Windows 10 released after Fall Creators Update. It was released on April 16, 2018. This new build arrived via new "RS4" (RedStone4) development branch.

    Spoiler Office 2019
Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

    • Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
    • Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
      • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
      • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
      • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
    • The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

    GPU-Z update loop (Windows 10 64-bit)

I don't have better steps - this is all, I have nothing to add.

Maybe it is worth noting issue was on Windows 10 Enterprise, build 14393.187, so maybe you should test on the same.
My other PCs have a different Windows 10 version - Pro, latest Insider Preview build from last week, and there is no such issue on those.
All are 64-bit edition of Windows 10.

This issue is not new. I have had same 1-2 years ago too, with older GPU-Z versions.

EDIT: And yes, I have Windows 10 UAC enabled and set to defaults. If you are using your Windows PCs with UAC off, you likely cannot reproduce this issue. *Smile Windows 10 64-bit update October 9, 2018—KB4462919 (OS Build 17134.345) resets Office color... :)
