Windows 10: Windows 10 64bit on an iMac 9,1

Hi everybody, I have an early 2009 iMac 9,1, Intel 2.6ghz 64bit processor, 8gb DDR3 memory. It's old, but perfectly adequate. Apple no longer support this machine and the last OS version was El Capitan, which now produces too many security problems. My Windows 10 laptop has died so I want to install Windows 10 64bit version on the iMac. However, there is some sort of code in the bios of the imac that will not allow the installation of the 64 bit version. Bootcamp will not allow it. I have tried all sorts of fixes from the Internet but none work. HOWEVER, it accepts the 32 bit version of Window

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 on an iMac

I have a new iMac with 8G of Ram and using Parallels with Windows 7.

When I try to download Windows 10 (All visible Mac programs shutdown) it says there is not enough RAM.

Any suggestions please??
