  1. Windows 10 - 7.1 option missing

Hi there, not sure if this is the correct place to put this, But I've been looking through a few different places trying to get my headphones sounding as good as they can, and in the process have noticed that in the Windows sound settings (Inside configure) the only options i'm given are Stereo, Quadraphonic, Surround, 5.1 Surround, and another 5.1 Surround setting (one with SL/SR and the other with RL/RR.

Just curious if there is some sort of way that i'm able to get the 7.1 setting to show up, not sure if it's a hardware limitation or not, But i'll provide some useful specs anyway.

Motherboard is a Asus Crosshair VI Hero, I have ATH M50x plugged into the motherboard since I thought maybe because they were in the front panel it was causing the problem, but seems like that wasn't the case.

I have both DTS X and Dolby Atmos, but toggling on both of those don't seem to do anything either.

Sorry if i'm being ignorant and missing something simple or asking stupid questions. Just thought I'd ask and see if anyone can help give me an answer. Thanks!

  2. Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
