Windows 10: Windows 10 activation question

I built a computer, however, the motherboard was bad. I bought a legitimate copy of Windows 10 home that motherboard is going in for service (Asus) not knowing how long it will take for them to service that motherboard. I bought a completely different motherboard from a different manufacturer (Gigabyte) that I will receive in 3 days will I be able to register my Windows 10 home on that new board it is going to be the permanent board for Windows. I bought the windows 10 home Edition in late October. The whole time it was installed on the bad motherboard was troubleshooting Asus agreed to take it in under warranty to fix it. When it comes back I will not use it with a Windows operating system.

it should activate automatically when online
if you want todo a clean install after that simply boot from your windows 10 installation media and when prompted for a key during install/post install select skip ..
it will re-activate within 5M of being online

Mine finally did although it was about 6 or so hours after as it was saying failed to activate.
