    Hi,



    How do I stop the windows 10 alarm onmy laptop from ringing after two minutes or so, once the alarm settime is reached? If I set a time for the alarm to ring, it goes offat that time, but keeps ringing until I press the “x Dismiss”time. I want the alarm set time to ring/sound when the set time isreached, but then to cancel completely after a two minutes if I amnot at my laptop to click on “x Dismiss” The alarm seems to goon forever until “x Dismiss” is clicked.

    Hi Marc,

    To address your concern, we suggest that you synchronize the system clock with an internet time server in Windows 10. To do that, follow these steps:

    • Open the Control Panel, and click on the Date and Time icon.
    • Click/on the Internet Time tab, and click on the Change settings
      button. If prompted by UAC, click on Yes.
    • Check the Synchronize with an Internet time server box, select a time server, and click on
      Update now. If an error occurred, click on Update now again to see if it may successfully synchronize. When the clock is successfully synchronized, click on
      OK.
    • Click on OK.
    • Go to Alarm & Clock app and test the alarm.

    Let us know how it goes after performing the steps.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
