Windows 10: windows 10 always disconnecting extra monitors

So I have been running 4 monitors on my computer for a while now, however, a few days ago I received 2 extra monitors to use. I hooked them up and bought an MST to give me the extra HDMI ports. However when everything is plugged in for some reason the 2 new monitors are always Disconnected. When I go to my display settings and then select the disconnected monitors I am giving the option to use them to extend my screen which is what I want to do however when the monitor extends another random monitor is automatically disconnected.


I was wondering if windows 10 which is what I am running will support more than 4 monitors. I have updated my display driver and monitor drivers but nothing has changed.

You may add multiple monitors on your Windows 10 computer. It depends on the number of DVI, VGA, or HDMI slots on your laptop. I suggest you to refer the Wiki Article by

Windows 10 Stops Recognizing Extra Monitor

I received help getting the extra larger monitor to connect back after the last windows update with the Device Manager. There was an issue with the driver. I disconnected the monitor and moved the laptop into another room for a day and now having the
same issue. The computer is not recognizing the extra monitor with the "detect" feature. This is becoming frustrating. Any one tell me what I need to do to get this resoled or at least give me some direction on what I have to do EACH time I disconnect
the laptop from the monitor.
