Windows 10 and "PC Reset" and Option On

If I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and I have no installation media and I did not create a recovery drive or system image after the upgrade because I thought a full backup included a back up of the OS but now that I am having problems I have discovered that is not the case.

If I do a "PC Reset" with the option "on" so it will keep my files, will it also restore the PC manufacturer installed apps specifically MS Office? I ask because the description for "PC Reset" and the "on" option, at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...444-7de3-818c-d626-e3b5a3024da5#bkmk_section2, specifically states that the "on" option "Restores any apps your PC manufacturer installed if your PC came with Windows 10". But since my PC came with Windows 7 and then was upgraded to Windows 10; I am concerned that those manufacturer installed apps will not be restored!

But I do have recovery partitions on my HDD. What I need to know is if I do a "PC Reset" from the recovery partition will the apps specifically MS Office that the PC manufacturer installed be restored?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
