Windows 10: Windows 10 are identifying the wrong version of windows (pro, home) activation id

Greetings everyone,

I have an issue with my Windows 10 licence. I upgraded my windows 7 ultimate machine to windows 10 pro for free, and everything was working correctly. 4 months ago i upgraded my HDD drive to SSD and i installed windows on it. The licence was automatically found by the OS and the activation was successfull (with the same version of windows 10 pro i had on my HDD). Two days ago, i booted my pc and after a while i saw a message on the lower right corner of the screen saying Activate Windows. The first thing i did was checking the licence id, and it was different than the one i had before. I ran windows troubleshooting and it said that the current windows licence id i was running is licensed under the home version of windows 10 and not the pro version. So i compared the machine id i had, before i upgraded to the SSD drive, with the current one and it wasnt the same. The licence id wasnt the same either. I didnt format the HDD drive and i still have activated windows 10 pro on it. When i boot the HDD drive i can see the correct licence id. When i compare the two licence ids the difference between them is just the last 3 digits XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX .

Windows 10 pro

I need to change my motherboard, have windows 10 pro. When i google how to it says go to activation then add an account, my issue is there is no add an account option under activation? Or am I in the wrong window?



Not sure how to proceed, ive googled it and the same results. Do I have an OEM or? On the disk sleave it says OEI DVD?

Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

As far as I am aware there is no Windows 10 Pro version.
But I'd be happy to be wrong.
