Windows 10: [WIndows 10] ATI Mobility Raedon HD 5650 Problem

So I just heard about microsoft discontinuing support to Windows 7 device in 2020 an I thought that it would be a good time to cash in on a free windows 10 update so that's exactly what I did. When windows 10 had successfully finished installing everything felt fine and stuff felt smooth and the first thing I checked was my resolution and I saw that I was getting my max (1366x768) like from Windows 7 and I saw that dxdiag was showing my normal values from windows 7 as well the only difference being that instead of it saying my card name ATI technologies, ATI mobility Raedon HD 5650 it said Intel(HD) Graphics but I didn't pay that any mind; I went to test out if I could still game because thats really all that matters to me and I found that old games like Grand theft auto Multiplayer dropped from giving me 100 fps to 23fps and another game that worked fine on Win 7 SAO:Hollow realization couldn't even start anymore, although like many others that faced this problem I could still play videos online in HD 1080p and some in 4k but my games weren't running at all.

Just wanted to know if anyone had found a fix to this problem since it was brought up from around 2015 I believe , I tried everything I downloaded the specific support software from AMD site and installed it but it changed nothing and it didn't really give me the option to switch graphics or anything and I even found and downloaded the original version for the Display driver that I had on Windows 7 but that still didn't work. Just lemme know if any fix was found for this problem and also I was thinking of going to Linux, please let me know if I should even consider that as an option, would greatly appreciate any help I can get.


I also got another *version* of that driver version from windows 7 but I wasn't sure of how to install it http://prntscr.com/mx3n5j . Let me know if I should try and go back to win 10 and try installing that(if you guys know how I'm supposed to go about doing that)

ATI Mobility Raedon HD 3400 graphics card not working

Hey,

I recently got windows 10 for my Lenovo ThinkPad with 4 GB RAM.

Somehow, the graphic card driver stopped working and I the Intel graphics card started being used.

Now, I can't even play Minecraft.

My graphics card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series.

I've tried many solutions like restart the laptop, uninstall the driver in device manager but none of them worked.
When I start Minecraft it says OpenGL not found.

DxDiag says:

"There is a problem with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series device. For more information, search for 'graphics device driver error code 43'"


I've tried asking the AMD support but they say that this graphic card is not supported by Windows 10.

Please help me.

Any kind of solution or helpful reply is welcome.

WINDOWS 10 ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 5000

My PC came with Windows 7 Home Premium x64 OS, ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 5470 Graphics. I have upgraded to Windows 10 and reversed back to Windows 7 several times and now not sure to upgrade again. After the upgrade to Windows 10 anytime I am watching video,
the PC FREEZES and heat up. I checked the Graphics, instead of ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 5470 for Windows 7 is ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 5000 for the Windows 10. Can Microsoft programme the Windows 10 to use the same Graphics ( ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 5470 ) for
the Windows 7?

NB: I downloaded Catalyst Software Suite update (Legacy) from AMD website for Windows 7 using auto detect but I didn't work because it turned out to be ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 5000.

 

Windows 10 Creators update - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 driver issues


Hello community!

I have upgraded my Vaio to Windows 10 Aniversary update earlier this year and had some troubles with the GPU drivers - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650. After many tries and searches I have managed to find a functional driver, version 8.723.8.2000 from Vaio UK's website.

If I am using any newer version of the GPU driver I cannot watch any movies and I can't remote play on my PS :/ Because I have disabled GPU driver updates via Microsoft's Show/Hide update utility I can use my Vaio without issues.

Yesterday I have upgraded to Creators update and unfortunately my old driver does not work anymore... In device manager I get this error "Windows cannot use this hardware device (Code 47)"
With newer ATI drivers, the error disappears but I still cannot remote play or play any videos/movies.

I am looking for a solution to make Creators update accept my old Vaio Radeon 8.723.8.2000 driver and somehow bypass the Code 47 error. Is there any workaround to fool Windows into accepting my driver?
