Windows 10 Audio Device Graph Isolation causes high CPU usage and fan noise

    Hello,

I own an HP Envy x360 15-cn0700ng (only one month old) running Windows 10. Link: https://store.hp.com/GermanyStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=4UA75EA&opt=ABD&sel=NTB

I have a problem with the process "Audio Device Graph Isolation" that regularly starts using an unreasonable amount of CPU. It has gone up to 80% but is usually about 25%. During these times the fan will run at a quite audible speed and the laptop will become hot. I know this is a common problem but none of the solutions on the internet have worked for me. This problem appears once every few days and I haven't identified any particular context in which it always occurs (it is always in the evening though).

Here's what I tried so far:

    1. Updated the audio drivers from the HP website.

    2. Checked the location of the process. It is in C:\Windows\System32 as it should be.

    3. Uninstalled and reinstalled Skype.

    4. Ran Microsoft Safety Scanner - everything was fine.

    5. Ran Hardware & Devices Troubleshooter

    Please do not suggest

    - to Disable All Sound Effects. This option does not exist on my laptop.

    - to boot in Safe Mode. After a restart, the problem is always gone and only appears after days. I cannot run my laptop in Safe Mode for days, waiting for this problem to appear.

Please, someone help me with this, it's so annoying... If anything is unclear due to the screenshots being in German or otherwise, I'll gladly provide more information.

    :)

Windows audio device graph isolation high CPU usage.

    Hi everyone,

Ever since I've upgraded to Windows 10 I've had some major lags and I opened the task manager and found that "Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation" has 100% CPU usage. I've read other posts on this issue and can't find any resolution. I built this PC and
had Windows 7 Home Premium running on it without any problems what so ever. This all started as soon as I upgraded to Windows 10 and have had no major changes done to my PC or installed anything important. The last program that I installed was for my headset.
I deleted the program and it still causes me trouble. Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

HP Envy and Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation

I've bought a new HP Envy, CPU usage is high when doing nothing.

I've established that this is Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation using up the CPU.

The advice for this is to go into the speaker settings and disable all enhancements - however there are no enhancements for me to disable.

Please, how can i fix this?
