Windows 10: Windows 10 Auto-Hide Taskbar Not Working Properly

Hello. On my PC, I have my taskbar set to autohide, but recently, it doesn't pop up if a window is maximized or touching the bottom of the screen. To make the taskbar appear, I either have to go to the desktop and then scroll my mouse down, or I have to hit the Windows button.What used to be the case is that I could have a maximized window and easily move my mouse down to the bottom of my screen, and the taskbar would pop up. What setting could've messed this up?If I create a new user on my computer, it works as I expect rather than how it works on my current user, which leads me to believe th

I understand your concern about auto-hiding Taskbar on Windows 10.

This issue might have occurred due to Taskbar settings, try the below and check if it helps.

Steps to enable auto-hide Taskbar:

• Right click in the empty space on the Taskbar, click on
  Properties,
• Under Taskbar tab, check mark the Auto-hide the Taskbar option, click on
  Apply and Ok.

I know how to 'auto-hide'!

IT IS NOT WORKING - the frustrating thing is that this is a known problem and is not being addressed. It may appear to be a small matter but it is not. Wherever the taskbar is situated (top, bottom, either side) it covers part of the screen and is TOTALLY
annoying!!!!!!!

PLEASE FIX IT and help us all.

Since this morning Windows 10 "Auto-Hide the taskbar" function is not working despite proper settings.

"Try restarting File Explorer or Windows Explorer" option worked for me

Fingers crossed... and sorry for the post, I google all morning for a solution and couldn't find it.
