Windows 10: Windows 10 background slideshow timer not working correctly.

So the problem is simple:


I set the slideshow timer to 1 day. It worked just fine for couple of days. Then it started to change the background randomly although the timer was still set to 1 day.


As example: I set the timer at 8:00 pm. The background should change next day at 8:00 right? Well it isn't.


So anyone else seen this?

Should it be like this? Am I missing something?

Set background slideshow

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below to set slide desktop.

• Press Windows logo key + I key.
• Click on Personalization.
• Under Background dropdown menu, select slideshow.
• Click on Browse button and then select the folder from which the desktop slide’s to be applied.

Background slideshow not working


I have a background slideshow in operation, inherited from Windows 7 when I changed to Windows 10. I know how to personalise the background, but the slideshow does not work when I select a folder other than the one I inherited, even when there are suitable background pictures in the folder. Obviously, I could just put pictures for my background into the one folder which does work, but I would like to be able to select any picture folder, as should work. Can anyone help?

WINDOWS 10 DESKTOP BACKGROUND SLIDESHOW DOES NOT WORK

Yes, it does seem to work correctly when I change to a folder containing pictures. I had previously used subfolders for a slideshow background in Windows 7, and it worked, so I assumed it would do the same in 10. Come to think of it, I occasionally has
problems with the slideshow freezing in 7. Thanks for the advice and prompt response.
