    Windows 10 Black Screen With Cursor Before Login


    Today I switched on my Windows 10 laptop and everything was fine. Then I plugged-in my Windows 10 Mobile phone via USB. Screen went to black, adjusting screen resolution (saw the size of the mouse cursor) to 640x480(?) then back to normal resolution (mouse cursor size) but the screen kept black for minutes.


    So I decided to reboot the machine. But the login screen does not appear. Just see black screen, the mouse and running dots ...


    Tried to attach an external monitor via Docking station but that didn't help. Maschine seems to be alive (not frozen) since able to switch on/off WiFi, mouse pad and see the led lights accordingly.


    During booting I see the Windows Logo. Also see the BIOS etc. so the screen itself seems to be okay. Maybe a display driver problem? But didn't change anything on my system's configuration, just plugged in my Windows Phone since I wanted to copy some files from Laptop to my phone (attached phone as USB mass storage but then the screen went to black - see above).


    Saw that lot of others having the "black screen" issue but none of the provided solutions helped ....

    I am in Windows 10 14393.2046 Build and during Boot I am Experiencing Black screen with a cursor and spinning circle ,having updated my Graphics Card Drivers Up to Date and Windows 10 1607 Cumulative Updates too.Since i didnt have any startup issues in
    Windows 8.1 ,10240 as well as 10586 builds and i performed all troubleshooting steps and annoyed me.I can say that it is a windows issue and you have to sort it out ,only problem is
