    Guys I have exhausted all resources to googling and adding reddit to my keywords to YouTube.. I appreciate any info that you can provide....



    I believe the cause is the windows security or defenders takes a long time to load after booting up the pc. I also when I open and close steam my internet connection is blocked.

    I am so stuck.. I spent months trying to figure this out, my last resort is doing a full restore.. and I do want this easy way out.

    I have double check the firewalls rules and apps being allowed and not allowed nothing showing me this is the problem.

    I double check my settings on my ethernet card and still showing set to dhcp.



    As of right now, after rebooting my pc 3 times and allowing windows security center to give that pop up that's its up and running "which took a good minute or so" everything is fine.. but this will repeat sooner or later.



    is there anything that i am missing here that could be the main cause ? was there a recent update for windows 10 that could be the culprit?

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to try the Windows 8.1 steps in the following Microsoft Help article to block child user from accessing internet and check if it helps. The steps for Windows 8.1 applies to Windows 10 as well.
