Windows 10: Windows 10 Blue Screen -- Memory running low

Hi All,

I'm trying to download the debug tool but in the meantime if someone can help I would appreciate it. My boss's computer started developing blue screens. He also notices that the service host keeps increasing in memory and then gets the low memory error before it crashes. I had this actually happen to my machine but I thought it was related to iTunes. I had to re-format my laptop in order to fix it.

I tried to upload the mini-dump file but was getting invalid file. I have uploaded it to wikisend.

Hi,

The "CACHE_MANAGER" error usually occurs if the amount of available nonpaged pool memory is very low. To resolve this error, we suggest adding a new physical memory to the computer.

It is a 0x116(VIDEO_TDR_FAILUR) which is related to the graphics as the dump says

• drivers
• damaged GPU
• dust
• not properly seated
• cooling issues

A damaged GPU is usually due to cooling issues, but I have separated them because in some cases you might be in time to notice it.

Please uninstall everything of Intel graphics using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from AMD

Please check inside the case for any dust and remove it, simultaneously make sure the GPU is properly seated.

If all above haven't helped, the GPU needs to be stressed to test the GPU and the cooling system.


Note Please read the tutorial carefully, not watching carefully at the temperatures could damage the GPU due to overheating.

Note Run Furmark for around 30 minutes



Warning Your GPU temperatures will rise quickly while Furmark is running. Keep a keen eye on them and abort the test if temperatures rise too high

I reinstalled the drivers. I think this was just a side issue. The main problem is that the System process is comsuming over 6GB of memory and just continues to increase. I killed the background process and it seems that the use percentage is dropping now. I had this issue before on another laptop but had to re-image the box.

Has anyone seen this issue? The laptop has 8GB of memory.
