Windows 10 Blue Screen when going to sleep or hibernate - tried to ID issues but not able...

I am blue-screening on Windows 10 on a Dell Precision 5540 laptop whenever trying to put computer to sleep or hibernate. I get SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED and it's pointing to ntoskrnl.exe. I am usually able to figure these kinds issues out myself with Google's help but this one has me stumped, I've tried doing a number of things pointed out in the community forums but no success. Example of error summary from BlueScreenView: I have confirmed I have the latest drivers and updates from Dell, and that all latest windows updates are installed. I have changed back and forth from AHCI and R

  2. Hibernation and Sleep not working on my WIndows 10 PC after latest update

    Hello,

There are many possible reasons for this hibernation and sleep not working issue. The most common causes are
corrupted Power settings or outdated display drivers. In order for us to efficiently assist you with your concern regarding the issue of waking up from sleep/hibernation, we just have a few questions for you:

    • Have you made any recent changes to your computer prior to the issue?
    • Did you get any error messages upon waking up your computer from hibernation/sleep?
    • Have you also tried performing the power troubleshooter?
If you still haven't, we suggest trying the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + W and type Troubleshooting.
    • Select Troubleshooting and click on System and Security.
    • Click on Power and follow the onscreen steps.

Delete the current power plan and create it again.

We're looking forward to your reply.

Windows 10 not going to sleep or hibernation

    Hello,

I have a rather complicated problem that i have been trying to solve for days now and cannot find the solution. I recently installed the Windows 10 anniversary update and i started having problems where my computer did not go into sleep or hibernation after
using it for a while. It successfully goes to sleep when i use it under 30 minutes but when i use it for more than 30 minutes, it crashes when i attempt to put it to sleep or hibernation. When i use the command
    powercfg /requests i see this:

    Realtek High Definition Audio (HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0282&SUBSYS_103C2162&REV_1000\4&26e309a2&0&0001)

An audio stream is currently in use.

    Troubleshooting I've tried:

    • I disabled "Turn on fast startup" in power options
    • I updated all my drivers
    • I did a clean install of windows 10
    • I used the command powercfg /requestsoverride to override the Realtek High Definition Audio from preventing the computer to go to sleep
    • I have also checked for any corrupt files with sfc /scannow
Any suggestions or help would be highly appreciated Windows 10 Blue Screen when going to sleep or hibernate - tried to ID issues but not able... :)
