Windows 10: Windows 10 boot loop

Troubleshooting Help:

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B450F

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

Ram: 16 gb GSkill Ddr4

GPU: GTX 1080ti

PSU: Corsair RM850X

Hey all, I just upgraded my build and swapped out the motherboard and CPU, however when the system starts up the Asus ROG screen, it just reboots. I can access the BIOS just fine, and I initially just had my old SSD with windows I was going to move over, however it could not get past the Asus screen that you see when you boot up the PC.

I've gone ahead and formatted the SSD and reinstalled windows on it, and booted it just fine on a different PC, and that didn't work , and I tried booting it from the Usb partition, but it still just boot loops.

When booting it from the SSD, it boot loops and it tries starting automatic repair, but after a few seconds of loading that, it just restarts non stop. And after a couple minutes, it goes into bsod, and gives error critical process died.

When booting from the Usb partition, after looping for about 5-10 minutes it starts on the screen where the windows install would start, purple screen but then just restarts again. And then it hit me with the bsod, critical process died.

The only thing I can access is the bios. I can stay in the BIOS for as long as I need to without it restarting. I've updated the motherboard using the Asus EZ flash 3 utility feature, and using the same feature it even reads the SSD files just fine.

I'm kind of stumped and I've been working on this for hours now going through online forums to see what would help but any help here would be appreciated.

• Have you checked if the hard disk is set as first boot device in the BIOS?
• Which version of Windows is installed on the computer?
• What did the HP supported suggested you to fix the issue?

Windows 10 Factory Reset Infinite Boot Loop

As you are facing issue with Boot loop, I suggest you to perform a Startup Repair by following the steps provided below:

• Go to the Microsoft software download website and create Windows 10
  installation media.
• Insert the installation media you created, and then restart your PC.
• On the Install Windows screen, select Repair your computer.
• On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot>Advanced Options.
• Click on Startup Repair.

After the repair is complete, check for status.
