Windows 10: Windows 10 Boot Manager Not Showing Up in BIOS

Your EFI System contains the Grub Boot loader. We need to rebuild this partition to get back the Windows Boot Manager.
Download: MacRescue.iso - Google Drive
Format a USB stick with FAT32 then extract the ISO to the stick using 7-zip. Boot up with the USB.
Open Admin command prompt on the bottom left and type:

diskpart
select disk 0
select partition 1
format fs=fat32 quick
exit

From Macrium screen, click on fix Windows Boot problems
Click Next
Reboot

NOTE: This screen is from the old version. The new version looks similar.

 

Google Drive can't scan this file for viruses.

MacRescue.iso (251M) is too large for Google to scan for viruses. Would you still like to download this file?
Download anyway not working.

 

What do you mean it's not working ??? This MacRescue.iso was created from Macrium Reflect. Double click on it, it should mount to a virtual CD/DVD.

BTW, instead of using 7-zip to extract the file. Just copy the content to a USB stick then boot up from it.

Go there.right click on extract all and run DualBootRepair.exe. then select automatic repair bottom left.

So I did exactly like you said, I extracted all then I ran DualBootRepair.exe. Then I clicked automatic repair. It said it was successful, but after restarting my computer, grub still popped up.

 

Hi there, @cameron121901. When you speak of a BIOS boot menu, are you speaking of something similar to the center of this pic? Answer this and we shall go from there.

 

Anywho, do the diskpart portion as topgundcp stated here to remove traces of the grub menu:

I’ve tried creating a windows boot usb, but the program windows gives me to make one only allows me to use a Windows 10 ISO. I have Windows 10 Home Edition.

 

And yeah, that BIOS is similar I guess, but Windows Boot Manager is no longer there.

 

Sorry to see that for you. I figured it was a limitation with the Home edition, but worth a try. Unless someone can comes up with something else, I'm afraid you'll have to clean install. Seems that you're an advanced user, but I can only hope that you backed up important files.

 

The Media Creation Tool will create a Windows 10 ISO file that contains multiple versions of Windows 10, including Windows 10 Home. What has happened to your system is that the Linux boot loader has taken over the EFI System Partition. You need to delete the EFI System Partition, recreate it, then use the bcdboot command to write the Windows 10 boot loader back to the new EFI System Partition.

 

Sounds good. Could you give me something step by step though? I think that would work then, and make me more comfortable.
