    Windows 10 BOSD


    Hello! I recently did a full factory reset via the reset this pc setting in windows 10. I chose the full format, in order to completely clear everything from the drives. I allowed the computer the 2-3 hours it took to reset, and didn’t touch anything while it ran. Once it hit 100 and did it’s final reset, the pc ran into the BOSD error code 0xc0000001. The pc was bought pre owned by a friend of mine who builds them, and as such I have no idea what my windows key is, nor is it listed on the machine in sticker form. I know you can create a flash boot in order to re-install windows, but I unfortunately don’t have a key. Do I have to buy a brand new copy of Windows, or is there a way around this?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
