Windows 10: Windows 10 BSD Code 7F

Hi,


I was wondering if anyone can help me troubleshoot a BSD I recently had. This past week I had acquired a new harddrive and have reinstalled my system from scratch no image. I've been running about a week and have had a BSD. Prior to this I can't recall the last time I had one occur. I have run a memcheck and no errors were found.

Windows 10 BSD after update.

After a windows 10 update, I started getting the BSD. This was on a laptop that had one of the free Windows 10 upgrades. I had not done my due diligence and made a recovery DVD. Is there any way to recover this laptop? I have a window 10 recovery USB drive
from a different Windows 10 machine, but after using it I still get the BSD. Right now the error is File: \BCD Error code: 0xc0000098.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
