Discus and support Windows 10 bug - app notices disabled in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; Thanks, bugging me for a while now.     Thanks, bugging me for a while now.
    But notification via cortana on Mobile "Android" may nor be working?
    Thanks again, half my problem over.
    "show app notifications" is no longer greyed and the message about administrator has gone. the little icon no longer has the blocked icon on it either.

    Reinstalled Cortana on my Nexus, Now everything working. Thanks Again

    Setting the following registry value to "1" enables "Get notifications from apps and other senders".

    This setting is under..
    Start > Settings > System > Notifications & actions > "Get notifications from apps and other senders".

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PushNotifications]
    "ToastEnabled"=dword:00000001
