Right click an empty space on the Start Menu and choose 'Personalize'

You have to change the immersive DPI, (for the Start Menu), in PC Settings►PC and devices►Display►More options(bottom)►Default or Larger(from drop down).

Thanks Edwin! Doing that also changes the text size on the Start Menu. *Thumbs

    Worked okay here.
(NOTE: If you're dual booting it will backup and restore both system drives)

Since I mainly use Macrium Reflect for imaging, it took me a while to figure out how to create and restore a Windows system image, but I was able to do so.

    I'll add that to list.

Your first image tells exactly what's wrong: you are using 32 bit WinPE (recovery disk) trying to restore a 64 bit Windows or vice versa. If you want to restore a 64 bit image, you have to use 64 bit recovery disk, it trying to restore a 32 bit system you need a 32 bit recovery disk.

Thanks, that is a good tip. Unfortunately my display is not supported (generic VMware)

  10. I agree with that, one of the first things I did was to install Skype on the desktop and Chrome.
Internet Explorer is also running on the desktop.

The less I see of the apps the better, at least for me none of them seemed to work as well as the desktop counterparts.

I've used it three or four times already as I try things out and then need to get back to clean base image. Have to say its been faultless for me.

Talking of disk imaging, could this be a bug......

I was offered an optional update yesterday (NVidia Hyper Transport Bridge or something) which installed fine. Today I had to go back to a system image that was made before yesterdays update was installed. The recovered image when I run Windows Update shows no updates to install (apart from a Defender one). I've kept trying and nothing is offered. There was a normal KB update as well and that too is not being offered today on the recovered image.

Okay, this seems to be really dickered:
As Windows seems to select a color for you, based on an image you set as desktop background, automatically, not all the UI colors match, eg. headers/boarders and the stinkin transparent taskbar; but all that can be adjusted except for:
    and here's the crux:
If you are using the Start Menu UI and the Start Button hover color doesn't match, you have to go over to the Start Screen UI to change it!

(And, just to confirm, there is NO Hot Corners for desktop installations, just *Start + C to invoke the Charms Bar or the updated Menu when you have a 'Modern' App open:

EDIT: On top of it all, it doesn't save when you go back! *Sad

  15. Thanks,
That's where I did properties from,
Also personalize from both start and desktop ?
Start menu color isn't the same as everything else :/
Also from settings on the top left of a couple of windows ?
