    Hi Forum, I have been on the Microsoft first level support for hours and I have a case number. When thy have tried everthing to support they told me to wait in the chat it will be elevated to 2nd level support. They let me hang in line for an hour. No support showed up. Nice Support. Admin rightsWe did a sfc/scannow was okayThen we downloaded MediaCREATIONTOOL21h2.exe Upgrade on PCThen during the installation is froze @48% with this message.Error Report 0xC1900101-0x30018 Phase First_Boot Error SYSPREP_SPECIALIZEWho can help if windows support cannot???Thank you Robert

    Windows 10 Pro 1909 upgrade to 2004 or 20H2 freezes at 48% 0xC1900101

    Hi, I've had a look through that previously and read a lot of articles online whom always suggest I need to remove any peripherals or anything connected to my computer. The thing is I am using a laptop and I have no other equipment attached to it.

    Also all my drivers are up to date and Windows 10 Update is fully up to date and I have tried installing from clean boot but it still freezes at 48%

    The error message I have suggests that a device driver has stopped responding to the setup as per the below link

    How do I find out which driver this is?

    Error "0xC1900101 - 0x30018 - Error in the installation in the phase FIRST_BOOT with an error during the operation SYSPREP

    During multiple attempts at installing windows 10 upgrade from win 8.1, the process freezes at 32% total installation and 6% on the "drivers and features" section. I've waited over an hour with no change in either percentage number.
    Error Message: Error "0xC1900101 - 0x30018 - Error in the installation in the phase FIRST_BOOT with an error during the operation SYSPREP

    After reboot from the freeze, it just puts my OS back to Win 8.1. I've spent hours on phone with Microsoft with no solution. Do you have any suggestions?
