Windows 10: Windows 10 Build 2004 Issues

Hi all.

So Build 2004 was just Force pushed onto my PC. I didn't click on it to get it, it was automatic.
I tried this update back when if first came out and I had MANY of the same issues then as I have now.

1. Broken Sound

2. Cortana being brokenworked fine before, 2004 you have to sign in to cortana directly and then it can glitch every so often

3. PC lagging like Crazy

4. Hard drive maxing out resources when not doing anything

5. Personal settings being deleted/overwritten

6. Programs changing Defaults to Microsoft programs ex: Edge

7. BSoD

8. Connected to but not connected to the internet

Just to name a few, there are more.

This time around I didn't get the BSoD, though I only allowed it on my pc for a short time, checking on the previous bugs/glitches I remembered having from before. After I saw enough I reverted to the prior build.

After going back to my previous build 1909 Everything worked again, without issue.

Well, I do have 1 issue, but now it's not the glitches with 2004, it's with Windows Update and Microsoft. The updater is again trying to force push the new build on my PC. Which is ridiculous. I do not want this build, I want it disabled from being force pushed. IT BREAKS YOUR PC.


Can anyone help me avoid this build being force pushed?

Windows 10 Build 2004 Issues

Hi Everyone,

I've updated my Windows 10 to Build 2004 yesterday & encountered some issues till now:

1. Windows crashes & Blue Screen shows up once cam is turned on Skype or other App.
2. Power Saver doesn't turn on when selecting from Side Bar, I've to press Battery Icon & select suitable Power Mode.

I did a Fresh Installation for same Build, yet issues still exist.

My Laptop is HP EliteBook Folio 9470m & I'm using latest Windows Update.

Win 10 2004 update No AMD graphics

Before upgrading anything else to 2004, I would suggest checking out the current Known Issues list.

Windows 10 Build 2004 issues

I have a nvidia 2070. The issue is for warcraft for example to enable ray tracing you have to have windows 10 build 2004 cause it has the updated DXR 1.1
but with that update all my games are choppy. but if i revert back to build 1909 all is perfect again.
