Windows 10: Windows 10 build 20H2 and Asus EeePC and bad video drivers

Hi,


I have an old but running well Asus 1025 CE net book it works fine - I reinstalled to Win 7 Pro today and tossed in all the drivers and got my usual 1024x600 video out of the Intel GMA 3650 HD video card at 640Mhz


However now that I've upgraded it to Win 10 today I can get it to do bupkis with the lame " microsoft basic display adaptor " I was blindly hoping it would pull in the video at some point but no joy and as of now - it says its fully patched. sigh


I saw an old post from 2014 that said: Windows 10 adds support for 1024 x 600 pixel displays

Want to install Windows 10 on an old netbook or a cheap Windows tablet with a 1024 x 600 pixel display? No problem.
While you can run Windows 8.1 on a device with a low-resolution display, you’ll get an error message if you try opening the Windows Store to install any Metro/Modern apps.
That was also true with the first technical preview of Windows 10. But it looks like one of the changes included in the second preview build 9860 is support for 1024 x 600 pixel screens.

Was is this old post garbage ? Am I stuck with crappy old 800x600? It looks like **** and the annoying thing is when it restarts you can see he bugger jump up to 1024x600 when it boots and you can see the spinning ball for a while at the right size and scale.


Any fixes or workarounds out there gang?

The Ultimate Realtek HD Audio Driver Mod for Windows 10

Hey Dj Urko, I am trying to install the realtek driver and I get the error 0x0001. I have disabled secure boot and Driver signature. I have the latest win 10 build. What am I doing wrong? Can u post the complete list of steps that I have to take? I have an asus z170 with alc1150.

Missing Asus ACPI Driver missing on EeePC 1215p when upgrading to Windows 10

I just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on my EeePC 1215p and I am getting a pop up saying my Asus ACPI driver is missing and that I should install it. I tried through updating drivers in device manager: says all updated. Asus driver update utility
is not finding any outdated drivers either and Windows Update is stuck checking. I don't know what ACPI effects with regards to my usage of the pc but how do I fix this?
