Windows 10 build 9888 shows up with a kernel version of 10

I did a clean install when I tried it is lot more buggy than the others not using it now I hear ya! *Smile
One thing I noticed, many Modern apps seemed to be a little more sophisticated feature wise.

This is just Hyperbole, it's the same Vista kernel design with a new version number, literally nothing new has been added or changed other than the version number.

Most of the Windows 10 air-time has so far been about the new 'animations' than actual changes and new features... The 'big jump for the Windows platform' is so far limited to windowed Metro applications and another new start-menu/startscreen *Confused

    Hi there

Maybe my English is getting rusty but exactly WHAT does this mean -- Works but unuseable !!!!!!.

Perhaps I should use that as an excuse to a boss when a project is behind schedule !!!.

    Cheers

Thanks, you saved me a lot of work hunting this down, installing it -- and then finding out that was a waste of time!

IMO, it is a waste of time. If you download and try a pirated interim build, during a public test period, you could often have to take what you get, without comment.
I am sure this build was not a sequential upgrade/improvement, from the previous release, but only for a specific in-house, trial - probably the one that fixes the blue screen issue.

The version that was leaked if I understand correctly, it came from one of the Microsoft foreign partners. I am surprised Microsoft has not told to them to keep quiet about newer builds and stop releasing those builds to the public. Another thing why are the foreign partners getting newer preview builds then the rest of us?

it was mentioned somewhere that some partners will still receive new builds.

but it was also mentioned on twitter that 9888 was scrapped due to bugs.
