Windows 10: windows 10 camera error 0xA00F424F <PhotoCaptureFileCreationFailed> 0x80131500

When I try to take a photo using Windows camera I am receiving error:

"0xA00F424F <PhotoCaptureFileCreationFailed> 0x80131500"



I searched and found details that I need to fix the save location. When I open settings, save where new content is saved, all save locations are displaying as This PCC:. They seem locked. I am unable to change any of the settings.


Experiment:

I opened Regedit. It did not have a value for {AB5FB87B-7CE2-4F83-915D-550846C9537B} under Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders so I created a key and set the value as

%USERPROFILE%\Desktop

After reboot, Shell: Camera Roll in Windows explorer reveals the desktop.


The camera still returns the above-mentioned error.


Does anyone have a suggestion for the next step to cure the error?

Hi, I have a problem with the camera app on my Acer computer. I can open the camera app and it will take a photo but it won't save the picture, and comes up with the error: "0xA00F424F <PhotoCaptureFileCreationFailed> (0x80270200)". I have tried uninstalling
the Camera app and reinstalling it with Windows Store, but the same message still comes up. I have accidentally gotten rid of the folder the photos are usually saved to and I can't retrieve it. When I have tried to change the location of where the files are
saved, there is no other choice in the drop down box apart from C: drive.
