Windows 10 - can be my UEFI and MBR conflict?

I know it too, from reading, AND from first hand experience within Windows 10. Any new Win10 public build or Insider Preview build, if it has re-enabled fast startup somehow, the first thing I do is disable it - this keeps my Dell laptop with both UEFI and Legacy boot options behaving as expected. I could cope with it keeping fast startup enabled but it's easier this way - I just don't benefit from fast startup in my configuration (including Samsung EVO SSD system disk) and usage patterns, so I do away with it.

That is difficult to explain why and how due to many variations that have to do with it, but if you want to know more I would suggest to do some research on proper sites *Smile

    Fast startup is standard enabled.

I bet the author can't explain why this problem sometimes happens with fast startup*Wink

It certainly affects starting up from a shutdown. Author means restarts initiated from within Windows. Even at that, I don't like the cognitive dissonance it imparts to me.*chuckle

Also somebody said to me that issue can be caused by faulty memory .It can be true?
But i tested memtest86 and no 0 errors in 19 hours of test.. Is this enough?

Problem started after i change in my UEFI boot priority (but on past it working fine ) from :"UEFI USB KINGSTON" to "P1 SSD SAMSUNG EVO 250 GB".
So it was reboots twice and then get's through. Weird. On first reboot was Automatic Repair , and on second reboot it was get through to Windows without problem. Event viewer showing that system was not closed properly

Maybe something with UEFI and boot of my SSD which is MBR? Or that doesnt matter?

    Ps:
After format with GPT partition all is fine. But i only want to know , that issue before format was caused by hardware or just software or bios?

    ps:
So it cant be fast startup problem, because i was getting Automatic Repair on next restarts initiated from within Windows. ???

    |" Also, fast startup only affects shutdowns, not restarts."

What is Windows 10's fast startup?

Ok last thing. Because i find on internet some thing about MBR and GPT. Listen, :

    I read that somewhere:
"OS on a GPT formatted disk, booted with UEFI, is BETTER THEN MBR & BIOS !
    Why ?

Better (auto) chances to recover info from bad/damaged sector/block !
(Partition table is redundantly stored, checked using crc) "

Also there was some possibility that MBR get corrupted. And now about that.

And then somebody said this to me this:"The MBR could have been poorly made thee first time, that is a possibility...your SSD could be faulty and now error correction of GPT is hiding the issue.."

Also is this possible that error correction of GPT is hiding issue?

FYI, that question is a question you can ask better at another part of the tenforums because the BSOD section is I think not a section where most will look quickly for answering this question.

Windows 10 - can be my UEFI and MBR conflict?

Also last question i want to be sure. I was thinking about fast startup issue. But...
I read this here:"Reportedly, when he tried to turn on his machine, the system just showed the blue Windows pane and circling dots weren’t shown. When he restarted the machine, everything was back to normal, but this problem appeared again after some time. Fortunately, this is not a serious issue, and solution for this problem is very simple. It is caused by the Windows 10 feature called Fast Startup, and disabling this feature will solve everything."

    http://windowsreport.com/windows-10-...itial-startup/

But:"Fast Startup only works when the computer is shutdown, as it don’t affects restart, which explains why things were back to normal after restarting a computer."

So it cant be fast startup problem if on my situation Automatic repair is every restart initiated from within Windows?

Fast startup sometimes causes problems when switching between UEFI and MBR which I believe was your problem.
    This has already been mentioned.

Or isn't that what you meant?

I just asking. I am in work now. Just out of curiosity. *Smile

They said:"Fast Startup only works when the computer is shutdown, as it don’t affects restart, which explains why things were back to normal after restarting a computer."

Because i was getting Automatic Repair on next restarts initiated from within Windows not from shutdown. Anyway it can be still related to restarts in my situation?
