    Windows 10 Can't Even Go in BIOS


    Yesterday when doing something routine, making an app's shortcut on desktop, something seemed to go wrong. I couldn't do anything with desktop icons, double clicking didn't open them and clicking on them didn't change the color of the square like it normally does. So I rebooted.Rebooting, it got stuck on the page where it lets you press del or F2 to go into BIOS. But pressing those didn't make it go to BIOS.I unplugged power overnight. Now when rebooting, it still won't let me go to BIOS. But it proceeds to opening Windows. Opening Windows takes significantly longer than normal though. And log

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows 10 Can't Even Go in BIOS

    access BIOS settings in Win 10

    I have an 8-year old computer running Win 10. I need to access the BIOS settings. It used to be the holding down the F2 key during startup would bring up the BIOS screen in Windows computers. But this no longer works. A web article listed a complicated
    series of steps leading to a reboot . . . but still no access to BIOS. Any suggestions?
