    Windows 10 - classic theme


    Hi, I use Windows 7 and would like to upgrade to Windows 10, but in Windows 10 there is no gray classic theme known from Windows 98, which is still supported on Windows 7. I found some tutorials how to do it on Windows 8 and 10, but none of those were functional. Is there any way to have the good old Windows classic theme on Windows 10?

    how do i switch to classic view for windows 10 and the browser?

    Windows 10 is tricky to master, the productivity is down due to the unconventional useability. Windows classic theme would have eased the pain a little and provided a little familiarity.

    If any theme designer makes a windows classic theme, they could ask a few dollars for their efforts.

    Thats all, but be noted that classic theme is no more used in win 8/10, nor does it improve the performance too. Instead stick to the provided theme.

    Windows 10 - classic theme

    There are some dark themes here:
    5 Dark Themes for Windows 10
    Worth a web search.

    Bear in mind so much has changed (and keeps changing with major builds) old theme packages are not applicable.

    Stardock's Windows Blinds is said to be Win 10 compatible, but whether it's compatible with the latest build from early August I don't know.

    Check some of the classic themes in these pack:
    Classic themes for Windows 8 total 17 themes

    They still work on W10.

    Also keep in mind that since the classic themes you know from Win98 are gone, these new look-alikes use the high contrast functionality in W8 / W10 to re-create all the colors.
